Conexión Rock Radio en sus Entrevistas Especiales para la temporada 2018 inicia el año con una banda interesante que para muchos es una de las referencias importantes del metal desde Canadá para todo el mundo, y que en este año regresan con un nuevo álbum bajo el brazo, consagrando un nuevo capítulo de una historia que está lejos de un final.
Johonny González conversa hasta la ciudad de Toronto, lugar de procedencia de nuestra banda invitada en esta entrevista especial, y en esta oportunidad con Steve "Lips" Kudlow, la Voz y Guitarra de la banda de Heavy / Power Metal Anvil, quien nos brinda detalles especiales sobre su nuevo lanzamiento llamado Pounding The Pavement via Steamhammer, y que a criterio de nuestro invitado este álbum lo define como "Aventurero" en la trayectoria discográfica que Anvil ha cosechado a través de los años, y que para muchos de sus fans alrededor del mundo podría superar en muchos aspectos a su anterior trabajo Anvil Is Anvil.
Como un dato extra a nuestro reporte además de Lips en la voz y guitarra le acompañan Robb Reiner en la Batería (quien es también fundador de la banda) y Chris Robertson en el bajo, para Chris este es su segundo trabajo con Anvil, y según Lips, Chris ha dado un empuje creativo en la banda y que se siente orgulloso de pertenecer a la banda, la cual desea pertenecer en los próximos años.
Además de su interesante historia conversamos de algunos momentos importantes como ser el Documental This Is Anvil, producido y dirigido por Sacha Gervasi donde muestra la lucha de tres músicos contra el mundo, buscando conquistar su lugar merecido en la escena mundial del metal y sobreviviendo contra la negación de una industria discográfica que miraban en la banda algo que no tenía futuro, pero que con determinación, rabia y lágrimas al final del camino se les hizo la justicia que se merecían poniéndolos de nuevo en grandes festivales y encabezando sus propias giras.
