Johonny González conversa con la mente maestra detrás de Ayreon, el compositor y multi instrumentista Arjen Lucassen para compartir del gran momento que este interesante proyecto vive actualmente con el lanzamiento de su más reciente álbum llamado The Source, y que es editado por el sello discográfico Music Theories Recordings / Mascot Records, y que para muchos amantes del rock progresivo consideran en este nuevo álbum un paso significativo en la historia de Ayreon, y que en palabras de Lucassen este es su proyecto más ambicioso hasta ahora.
La razón es muy sencilla: los protagonistas de esta nueva aventura, un álbum que habla de la supervivencia de los habitantes en un planeta muy lejano, donde la tecnología busca tomar el control de la población, la extinción de los recursos naturales y el forzado éxodo a otros lugares son los elementos en este nuevo álbum con duración de más de hora y media, y hacen de que The Source sea una obra maestra en todo su esplendor con nombres muy reconocidos a nivel mundial como James Labrie, Tommy Karevik, Simone Simons, Tommy Rogers, Nils K. Rue, Mike Nills o Hansi Kürsh, Russell Allen, Michael Eriksen, Floor Jansen, entre otros, y que han tenido el privilegio de aparecer en esta nueva aventura musical que Arjen ofrece al mundo en compañía de su incondicional compañero el baterista Ed Warby.
También nos revela que The Source tiene mucha relación con su anterior trabajo de 2008 llamado 01011001, y que literalmente fue el origen de esta interesante aventura que Arjen nos ofrece actualmente.
Como una novedad interesante con este lanzamiento se anuncia que se prepara una serie de presentaciones especiales en Europa para la grabación y posterior edición de un DVD en concierto, y que este proyecto verá la luz a finales de este año.
