Johonny González entrevista al batería de Dying Fetus; Trey Williams para saber de las impresiones que la banda tiene tras el lanzamiento de su más reciente trabajo Wrong One to Fuck With via Relapse Records, y que los fans actualmente le han dado la ovación de pie a este álbum considerándolo como el mejor de su carrera y superando en muchos aspectos a su anterior trabajo Reign Supreme.

Conexión Rock Radio: Trey te saluda Johonny González de Conexión Rock Radio de Honduras. Gracias por el tiempo que nos concedes en esta entrevista especial para todos los fans de Dying Fetus en Latinoamérica y el resto del mundo, ¡un honor para hablar contigo y bienvenido!
Trey Williams: Gracias por el espacio Johonny, y listo para las preguntas que deseas saber acerca de la actualidad de Dying Fetus.
CR: Inicio la entrevista con una ovación de pie para Dying Fetus por el lanzamiento de su nuevo álbum Wrong One to Fuck With via Relapse Records. Ya muchos fans piensan que este es el mejor álbum de la banda en años! ¿Cómo te sientes sobre exceder las expectativas con este nuevo álbum?
TW: La banda está entusiasmada de que el álbum se reciba tan bien. Les ha gustado como ha quedado todo el proceso final del nuevo álbum, tanto así que habían personas que estaban empezando a dudar de nuestro trabajo en este disco pero al final salió muy bien todo!
CR: ¿Cómo podrías definir Wrong One to Fuck With en la historia de Dying Fetus?
TW: Otro álbum cada vez más brutal. Esto es lo que hacemos.
CR: ¿En tu opinión personal que las comparaciones tienen el nuevo álbum con los anteriores? Muchos dicen que este álbum es el hermano mayor de Reign Supreme, con muchas mejoras en la producción con un sonido que define la esencia de la banda, es más técnico con muchos breakdowns que mantienen la adrenalina al límite. ¿Qué piensas de eso?
TW: Estoy de acuerdo con esa descripción.
CR: ¿Puedes compartirnos porque el nombre del álbum? Daría la percepción que se dedica a alguien que (se jodio) con la persona equivocada: una clara invitación a demoler sin piedad en el pit con el álbum de principio a fin! (Risas)
TW: Queríamos un título que tuviera una sensación de poder e intimidación. Tuvimos otras ideas, pero nombrarlo después de la última canción del álbum sólo tenía sentido al final.
CR: Me ha despertado la curiosidad: ¿el título del álbum está dedicado a alguien?
TW: No. Pretendíamos que quienes oyeran el disco se sintieran como si fueran los malos con los que jodieran (literalmente) al final.
CR: Ver a John Gallagher y Sean Beasley compartir la voz en las canciones ha generado un interesante equilibrio en la música de Dying Fetus, especialmente en conciertos. ¿Cómo ha sido el proceso de composición para la banda este álbum? ¿Participaron en conjunto o hay alguien que compone y otro que hace la música?
TW: Esta vez John y yo hicimos la mayoría de los escritos juntos para la música. Sean vendría con partes también. Dejamos a Sean hacer su aporte creativo para este álbum.
CR: Tu primer álbum fue Descend en Depravity, actualmente este es tu tercer álbum con la banda. ¿Cómo te sientes acerca de ser parte de un cambio importante en la historia de Dying Fetus?
TW: Muy Honrado.
CR: Uno de los problemas que afecta no sólo a los promotores que no realizan tours y cumplen fechas estipuladas es la censura que enfrentan varias bandas en varios continentes, especialmente por su posición política, religiosa o de violencia. Dying Fetus no es la excepción. ¿Qué experiencias han tenido para afrontar estos problemas?
TW: Ninguna todavía. Pero creo que eso podría cambiar con este nuevo álbum.
CR: Vamos a alejarnos de esos malos problemas y regresamos al gran momento que vive la banda. En tu estancia con Dying cuál ha sido el mejor recuerdo o el más divertido en un tour?
TW: Mi primer show con la banda. Fue en un festival europeo llamado donde fuimos parte del cartel. Fue muy divertido y ameno ese momento.
CR: En tu opinión personal, ¿cuál es el mejor álbum y el más infravalorado en la carrera de la banda?
TW: Killing on Adrenaline, es mi favorito.
CR: Muchas jóvenes bandas que tocan brutal death metal o grind miran a Dying Fetus una de sus influencias musicales. ¿Qué comentarios has tenido y sobre todo la manera poderosa de tocar la batería?
TW: Es un honor ser visto como una persona de influencia. Aunque les diría que nunca pusieran sus ídolos en un pedestal, también son humanos y tienen defectos. Nadie es perfecto.
CR: ¿Cuáles son tus canciones favoritas de este nuevo disco?
TW: Fixated on Devastation y Die With Integrity.
CR: Tendremos los fans de Centro y Latinoamérica la oportunidad de ver a la banda en una próxima gira?
TW; Eso espero. Nos encantan los fans latinoamericanos. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que viajamos extensivamente en especialmente Centro y Sudamérica.
CR: ¿Qué mensaje quieres enviar a los fans que nos han leído en esta entrevista?
TW: Gracias por el apoyo. Los fans hacen que esto sea una realidad para nosotros.
CR: Nuestra pregunta especial: En una palabra o frase, ¿cómo podrías definir a Dying Fetus en la escena mundial del metal?
TW: Una Banda Esencial.

Dying Fetus: An Essential Band Inside Brutal Death Metal Scene Exclusive for Central and Latin America

Conexion Rock Radio: Trey this is Johonny González from Conexión Rock Radio from Honduras, Central America. Thank you for the time you give us in this special interview for all Dying Fetus fans in Latin America and the rest of the world, an honor to talk to you and welcome!
Trey Williams: Thanks for the space Johonny, and ready for the questions you want to know about the current news for Dying Fetus.
CR: Start the interview with a standing ovation for Dying Fetus for the release of their new album Wrong One to Fuck With via Relapse Records. Already many fans think that this is the best album of the band in years! How do you feel about exceeding expectations with this new album?
TW: The band is excited that the album is receiving so well. They liked how the whole final process of the new album was, so much so that there were people who were beginning to doubt our work on this album but in the end everything went very well!
CR: How could you define Wrong One to Fuck With in the story of Dying Fetus?
TW: Another album more and more brutal. This is what we do.
CR: In your personal opinion that the comparisons have the new album with the previous ones? Many say that this album is the older brother of Reign Supreme, with many improvements in production with a sound that defines the essence of the band, is more technical with many breakdowns that keep the adrenaline to the limit. What do you think about that?
TW: I agree with that description.
CR: Can you share us with the name of the album? It would give the perception that is dedicated to someone who (fucked) with the wrong person: a clear invitation to demolish without mercy into the pit with the album from start to finish! (Laughts)
TW: We wanted a title that had a sense of power and intimidation. We had other ideas, but naming it after the last song on the album only made sense at the end.
CR: I was curious: is the title of the album dedicated to anyone?
TW: No. We wanted those who heard the record to feel like they were the bad guys (literally) at the end.
CR: See John Gallagher and Sean Beasley sharing the voice in the songs has generated an interesting balance in the music of Dying Fetus, especially in concerts. How has the process of composition for the band this album been? Did they participate together or is there someone who composes and another who makes music?
TW: This time John and I did most of the writing together for music. Sean would come with parts too. We let it be to make the lyrics this time too.
CR: Your first album was Descend in Depravity, currently this is your third album with the band. How do you feel about being part of a major change in the story of Dying Fetus?
TW: Very honored.
CR: One of the problems that affects not only the promoters who do not tour and meet the stipulated dates is the censorship that several bands face in several continents, especially for their political, religious or violence position. Dying Fetus is no exception. What experiences have you had to deal with these problems?
TW: None yet. But I think that could change with this new album.
CR: Let's get away from those bad problems and return to the great moment that lives the band. In your stay with Dying what has been the best memory or the most fun in a tour?
TW: My first show with the band. It was at a European festival called where we were part of the poster. It was fun and fun that moment.
CR: In your personal opinion, what is the best album and the most underrated in the band's career?
TW: Killing on Adrenaline, it's my favorite.
CR: Many young bands that play brutal death metal or grind look to Dying Fetus one of their musical influences. What comments did you have and above all the powerful way to play the drums?
TW: It's an honor to be seen as a person of influence. Although I would tell them never to put their idols on a pedestal, they are also human and have flaws. Nobody is perfect.
CR: What are your favorite songs from this new album?
TW: Fixed on Devastation and Die With Integrity.
CR: Will we have the fans of Central and Latin America the chance to see the band in an upcoming tour?
TW; I hope so. We love Latin American fans. It has been a long time since we traveled extensively in especially Central and South America.
CR: What message do you want to send to the fans who have read us in this interview?
TW: Thanks for the support. The fans make this a reality for us.
CR: Our special question: In one word or phrase, how could you define Dying Fetus on the metal world scene?
TW: An Essential Band.
