Conexión Rock Radio en su Serie de Entrevistas Internacionales hizo una nueva entrevista. Y fue en Denton, Texas donde contactamos a nuestro invitado en esta ocasión: Matt Thompson.
Matt es conocido por llevar las riendas de la batería de un personaje muy querido y respetado dentro de la escena del metal a nivel mundial como lo es King Diamond, el cual debuta con la banda en el álbum Abigail II The Revenge (2000) y que se ha mantenido estable hasta la actualidad.
Con el hemos conversado un poco del estado de salud de King Diamond, pero nos comenta que Diamond se prepara con nuevos proyectos, mismos que serán revelados. Un adelanto es la edición de un DVD en vivo interpretando la mayoría de sus clásicos conocidos y que para muchos de sus fans es una señal de vida de que la banda continúa en actividad a pesar de los problemas.
Todo esto con una interesante carrera en varias bandas desde mediados de los 90´s, ejemplo de ello Autumn Silence, Bat Castle, Judgmet, Michael Harris Band, Aghora, Legacy Of Disorder, y muchas otras colaboraciones tanto en estudio como de invitado sin dejar fuera su prioridad con King Diamond. Y por supuesto clases de batería que imparte a aquellos que desean incursionar en este instrumento en el campo musical
La novedad de la entrevista es sobre el proyecto que el lleva junto con un grupo de músicos bajo nombres de guerreros ninjas entran en la escena para demostrar su lealtad a un emperador y ofrecer su vida en una batalla a muerte contra los enemigos de una nación que vive de la armonía y paz.
Les presentamos a ustedes este proyecto llamado Shaolin Death Squad, y nuestro invitado lleva la identidad de Black Ninja. Una banda de Metal Progresivo con temáticas del Budismo, de las enseñanzas del Sabio Confucio, y todo lo relacionado a la Cultura Oriental.
Hablar de SDS es de una historia que lleva años en ser escrita, ejemplo de ello su debut con un EP que lleva el nombre de la banda, luego de dos trabajos de estudio Intelligent Design y Five Deadly Venoms, además de un directo Intelligent Design Live y lo más reciente As You Become Us , son una muestra de lo que ellos han hecho hasta el día de hoy, además de curiosidades y giras, los deseos de girar por Latinoamérica en fechas próximas, y nos brinda como avance que en algún momento de 2016 sale nuevo trabajo de estudio.

Shaolin Death Squad Warriors at Service of Metal!
Conexion Rock Radio in thier International Interview Series, make a new chapter. And it was in Denton, Texas where we contacted our guest on this occasion: Matt Thompson.
Matt is known for taking charge of the battery of a beloved character and respected within the metal scene worldwide as is King Diamond, who made his debut with the band on the album Abigail II The Revenge (2000) and it has remained stable until now. We talked with some of the health of King Diamond, but tells us that Diamond is prepared with new projects, which will be revealed. A preview is the release of a live DVD playing most of his known classical songs and for many of his fans is a sign of life that the band continues activity despite the problems.
All this with an interesting career in several bands since the mid-90s, Autumn Silence example, Bat Castle, Judgmet, Michael Harris Band, Aghora, Legacy Of Disorder and many other collaborations in the studio and guest leaving it was his priority to King Diamond. And of course he teaches drum lessons to those who wish to play this instrument at the musical field.
The novelty of the interview is about the project that brings together a group of musicians under the names of ninja warriors enter in scene to show their allegiance to an emperor and offer his life in a battle to the death against the enemies of a nation live in harmony and peace.
We present this project called Shaolin Death Squad, and our guest takes the identity of Black Ninja. Progressive Metal band with themes of Buddhism, the teachings of the sage Confucius, and everything related to the Oriental Culture.
