En esta oportunidad tuvimos el honor de conversar con el fundador, voz, guitarra y compositor de Stryper, Michael Sweet, para compartir con el público de Latinoamérica las noticias y giras actuales tras la salida de su más reciente trabajo llamado Fallen (via Frontiers Records) y para muchos fans este álbum supero a su anterior trabajo No More Hell To Pay y esto es indicativo que tendremos a Stryper para rato!
Johonny González junto con Mauricio Zarruk del programa Metal Side (Rock N´Pop) conversaron con Michael de varios puntos en la historia de la banda y en especial sobre los puntos de vista en relación al público en diferente festivales alrededor del mundo y la reacción al mensaje e ideología de la banda que para muchos la etiqueta de “Metal Cristiano” no debería de existir y que a criterio de Sweet las personas deberían de tener una mentalidad más abierta tanto en la música como en el mensaje, al mismo tiempo como banda citaron el álbum The Covering un tributo a las raíces de la banda donde unos jóvenes Stryper crecieron con bandas que no tenían mensajes cristianos en sus canciones.
Además nos comenta que se celebra a nivel mundial los 30 años de uno de sus trabajos icónicos como lo es To Hell With The Devil y que en esta oportunidad brindaran a los fans varias sorpresas en sus conciertos. Otra de las novedades es el proyecto que tiene con el guitarrista de Dokken George Lynch, y que recientemente sacaron a la luz el álbum Only To Rise y que ha recibido respuestas positivas por parte del público y de los medios a nivel mundial.

This time we had the honor of talk with the founder, vocals, guitar and composer of Stryper Michael Sweet for share with the fans in Latin America the news and current touring after the release of his latest album called Fallen (via Frontiers Records) and for many fans this album surpassed his previous work No More Hell to Pay and this is indicative that we will have to Stryper for long time!
Johonny Gonzalez with Mauricio Zarruk of the Rock N´Pop Honduras Program Metal Side talks with Michael of several points in the history of the band and in particular the point views in relation to the public at different festivals around the world and the reactions of message and ideology of the band, and for many the "Christian Metal" label should not exist and for the criteria of Sweet the people should have a more open mentality both the music and the message, at the same time as a band cited the album the Covering, a tribute to the roots of the band where a young Stryper grew up with bands that did not have Christian messages in their songs.
