Triumph: ¡Más Vigentes Que Nunca! Exclusiva para Latinoamérica
Conexión Rock Radio en su Serie de Entrevistas Internacionales hizo escala en Canadá, lugar de procedencia de una de las bandas veteranas que dentro del Hard Rock y Progresivo ha dejado su huella en la historia de la música y que actualmente continúan vigentes y dispuestos a llegar a todos los rincones del planeta con su sonido.
Johonny González en esta oportunidad conversa con el bajista y co fundador de TRIUMPH, Mike Levine, quien nos comparte la actualidad de la banda, su música, y su interesante historia que llevan haciendo desde 1975 con una discografía respaldada y que para los fans y coleccionistas de su carrera son considerados clásicos de culto y que comparten lugares de honor con otros grandes del rock como RUSH, April Wine y Anvil.
Levine además de ser parte de la banda también es dueño del estudio de grabación Metalworks donde se ha reeditado la mayoría del catálogo musical de la banda y además de eso se han producido varios DVD que son documentos históricos de este Power Trio que tiene una gran cantidad de seguidores alrededor del mundo.
Nos comenta que por ahora no hay propuestas para un nuevo trabajo discográfico para Triumph (recordemos que su último trabajo de estudio fue Edge Of Excess en 1993) y lo más reciente fue la grabación de un directo en Suecia en 2012 que viene con un CD y DVD de ese momento.
También nos comparte momentos interesantes, de cómo fueron sus inicios como banda, la lucha para darse a conocerse primero en su natal Canadá, y luego con la llegada de los 80´s iniciaría su invasión sónica por todo el mundo, su importante participación en el Festival de California en el 83 delante de medio millón de fans y compartiendo escenario con grandes nombres de la escena mundial, las grandes giras en todo el mundo, la separación de su guitarra y vocales Rik Emmett, el desafío que tanto Mike como Gil Moore (voz y batería) enfrentarían para seguir adelante, la llegada de Phil Xenidis (quien actualmente toca con Bon Jovi) la reunión años más tarde en el Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame fue el detonante para que la formación original regresara por la puerta grande y que actualmente mantienen vivo su legado, y que disfrutemos de Triumph para rato!!

Conexion Rock Radio in their International Interviews Series made a stopover in Canada, place of origin of one of the oldest bands in the Hard Rock and Progressive has left its mark in the history of music and currently remain in place and ready to reach all over the world with their sound.
Johonny Gonzalez this time talks with bassist and co-founder of TRIUMPH, Mike Levine, who shares currently of the band, their music, and its interesting history have been doing since 1975 with a backed discography and for fans and collectors of his career they are considered classics of worship and places of honor shared with other rock greats like RUSH, April Wine and Anvil.
Levine besides being part of the band is also recording studio Metalworks which has been republished most of the musical catalog of the band and besides that there have been several DVDs that are historical documents of this Power Trio has own a lot of followers around the world.
He says that so far no proposals for a new album for Triumph (her last studio was Edge Of Excess in 1993) and most recently recording a live show in Sweden in 2012 that comes with a CD and DVD of this performance.
We also share interesting moments, of how they started as a band, the struggle to be known first in his native Canada, and then with the arrival of the 80's begin his sonic invasion worldwide, its important participation in the Festival of California in '83 before half a million fans and sharing the stage with big names from the world scene, major tours worldwide, the separation from his guitar and vocal Rik Emmett, the challenge that both Mike and Gil Moore ( vocals and drums) face to go ahead, the arrival of Phil Xenidis (who currently plays with Bon Jovi) the reunion years later in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was the trigger for the original line back through the front door and now they keep his legacy alive and to enjoy Triumph for a while !!
