Damas y Caballeros: Desde Italia llega ante ustedes: FUGUE Una banda que nace en 2019, y que debutan ese mismo año con su álbum llamado The Spoils Of War, todo esto producto de la iniciativa de su fundador Luke Corso, quien conversa con nosotros de los orígenes de este proyecto que al final se convertiría formalmente en una banda, y que cuenta en sus filas a talentosos músicos, dando como resultado el proceso de grabación y producción de este Spoils Of War que generara atención una vez que los escuches en sus plataformas digitales. Actualmente además de Corso- Guitarra y Voz, se complementa con Anna Bach- Bajo, y anteriormente con Renato Fabrizi- Batería. ¿Qué impresiones tienen en dar un paso importante en su carrera como banda, y cuáles son sus expectativas para este álbum debut? LC: Nuestra esperanza es hacer una contribución al Rock para que reviva en un mundo que parece olvidar lentamente su importancia. CR: Qué reacciones tienen de los fans con sus canciones, especialmente el video Smoketrails. Mucha gente dice que es un día perfecto para sentarse con la banda, tomar cervezas y disfrutar de la música. LC: ¡Cada día que pasa bebiendo cervezas con buenos amigos es un buen día! Hemos recibido muchos comentarios positivos del single de personas de diferentes partes del mundo, hemos descubierto que toca un acorde con muchos géneros. CR: En tus propias palabras, ¿cómo definirías este nuevo álbum?
¿Es conceptual o tendremos historias diferentes? LC: En esencia, todas las canciones se escribieron en un lapso de 2 meses, por lo que tratan líricamente con temas y temas similares, así que supongo que de alguna manera es un álbum conceptual CR: Sabemos que la banda se formó en los primeros meses de 2019, y para septiembre lanzan el álbum debut. Para las personas que escuchan y conocen por primera vez, ¿cómo fue la idea de hacer una interesante banda Power Trio como esta y por qué el nombre? LC: Nos gusta la idea de un trío debido al desafío, realmente no se puede escuchar el sonido de un trío, tiene un tipo especial de energía, el nombre es literal, es un "escape" a través del poder de la música. CR: ¿Cómo te sientes al compartir talentos con estos buenos músicos como Anna Bach en el bajo y Renato Fabriz en la batería?
(Nota de redacción: en el momento de formular la pregunta se nos notifica que la banda busca un nuevo baterista, mismo que será anunciado próximamente) LC: En este momento tenemos una puerta giratoria de bateristas con la esperanza de encontrar el ajuste adecuado, Anna y yo somos la fuerza impulsora en este momento y nos esforzamos por alcanzar constantemente nuevas alturas con la banda. CR: Con el lanzamiento de su álbum debut, ¿está satisfecha la banda con toda la historia que se ha escrito hasta ahora?
LC: ¡Absolutamente no esperábamos movernos tan rápido en 6 meses que hemos tenido momentos increíbles! CR: Actualmente la banda pertenece a la lista de artistas de Agoge Records. ¿Cómo te sientes en ser parte de este sello que lleva las cosas a un nuevo nivel? ¿Quién toco la puerta primero? ¿La banda o el sello? LC: He estado trabajando con Agoge durante 6 años, incluso con otros proyectos musicales, para nosotros Agoge es una extensión de la banda que a menudo tocamos con nuestro productor en el estudio, tenemos la suerte de tener una relación tan buena. CR: ¿Cuál es su percepción sobre la escena local en Italia en la cual Fugue tiene un buen lugar?
Algunas personas dicen que hay músicos virtuosos que inyectan aire fresco contra bandas que generalmente suenan igual. ¿Qué hace que Fugue sea especial en estas circunstancias? LC: Hemos notado que la música grunge en Roma es una rareza, por lo que eso hace que se destaque en todos los shows en vivo, esperamos dejar una fuerte impresión para poder revivir también el género. What impressions do you have of taking an important step in your career as a band, and what are your expectations for this debut album? LC: Our hope is to make a contribution to Rock so that it revives in a world that seems to slowly forget its importance. CR: What reactions do fans have with your songs, especially the Smoketrails video. Many people say it is a perfect day to sit down with the band, have beers and enjoy the music. LC: Every day you spend drinking beers with good friends is a good day! We have received many positive comments about the single from people from different parts of the world, we have discovered that it plays a chord with many genres. CR: In your own words, how would you define this new album?
Is it conceptual or will we have different stories? LC: Essentially, all the songs were written in a span of 2 months, so they lyrically deal with similar themes and themes, so I guess it's somehow a concept album CR: We know that the band formed in the first months of 2019, and for September they release the debut album. For first-time listeners and acquaintances, what was the idea of making an interesting Power Trio band like this and why the name? LC: We like the idea of a trio because of the challenge, you can't really hear the sound of a trio, it has a special kind of energy, the name is literal, it is an "escape" through the power of music. CR: How do you feel about sharing talents with these good musicians like Anna Bach on bass and Renato Fabriz on drums?

LC: We absolutely didn't expect to move so fast in 6 months that we've had incredible times! CR: Currently the band belongs to the list of artists from Agoge Records. How do you feel about being part of this label that takes things to a new level? Who knocked on the door first? The band or the label? LC: I have been working with Agoge for 6 years, even with other musical projects, for us Agoge is an extension of the band that we often play with our producer in the studio, we are lucky to have such a good relationship. CR: What is your perception of the local scene in Italy in which Fugue has a good place?
Some people say that there are virtuous musicians who inject fresh air against bands that generally sound the same. What makes Fugue special in these circumstances? LC: We have noticed that grunge music in Rome is a rarity, so that makes it stand out in all live shows, we hope to leave a strong impression in order to revive the genre as well. CR: With this new album now in stores, do you think that in the future it is possible to release a live album? It could be perfect for the history of the band. LC: It would not exclude the possibility, we are currently about to start pre-production for our second studio album and we are very excited. CR: Are you currently on tour?
Do you have plans to play in other countries outside of Italy? Or appear in America? LC: Absolutely first we will venture into Europe, but we are definitely looking forward to coming to the United States! CR: What message do you want to send to those who read us this day?
