CR: Shehili's latest album is considered by many to be a classic in the band's discography. How do you feel about the big cheers from fans around the world?
MBA: We try never to calculate what we compose, albums are created with the feeling of the moment and the events that we have experienced, although Myrath from the beginning looks for his own unique style, we believe that before now we found our way, and we are very happy with comments on the Shehili album. CR: For this new album they have a large number of special guests, giving Shehili a special atmosphere in each song, in the same way with several producers, especially with Jens Bogren who is well known for having worked with various bands both from Europe. as from other continents. What experiences did you leave working with the guests and with the producers this time? MBA: Having a unique sound and an original production is very important for myrath, especially when you have a lot of tracks to mix and new instruments in the metal world like Darboka Real and Doff and typical Tunisian instruments, I find that the work that was done by ( Eike Freese, Kévin Codfert and Jens Bogren) is wonderful, we also always wanted to have Mr. Lofi bouchnak as a guest on one of our albums it was a dream come true, Mr. Lotfi, considered one of the best singers in Tunisia, is even a icon of music in our country. CR: Fans and critics consider Shehili a jewel more forged in the magic of the desert, to the point of considering him as the older brother of Legacy.
Songs like Lili Twil, No Holding Back, Mersal or Dance (which is a continuation of the Believer story) are examples of the musical maturity that they offer us in this great album. We want to know what is the concept or the stories behind Shehili. MBA: We clearly wrote dance as the continuation of Believer. Believer and Dance from the beginning were thought for the video clips, for the rest of the album we had more flexibility. MBA: We are very proud to be part of earMUSIC, it allows the Band to better develop this development to aim further with higher quality albums and video clips, I think it is very important to have a label that understands us and gives us the ability to go further away. CR: A quick parenthesis my dear Malek

MBA: Yes, it started a long time ago, I started playing the guitar at 12 and I always knew that I would do it all my life, it is a great adventure and I hope it continues as long as possible, as long as possible We will have fans to support us , we will be there to give you music and love. CR: Are you satisfied with everything that has been achieved to date? Are you looking to experience new sounds or other cultures in the Myrath universe? MBA: Myrath has evolved a lot from the beginning and this thanks to a whole teamwork but above all thanks to two people, may my father (Ahmed Ben Arbia) rest in peace, who was our godfather, and who gave us everything for No give up until the end, because abandonment that comes from North Africa is very difficult, and Kevin Codfert our producer our friend our brother, and the one who saw the potential of the band and who gave us the opportunity to start the adventure internationally. CR: With this global emergency caused by COVID-19, many concerts and festivals were canceled, as well as delays in releases.
Being a musician and part of the band, are you aware that this emergency could affect you financially due to the possible drop in sales? MBA: Surely this epidemic has affected us economically but we will always stand up for the future CR: Currently, pre-orders and official digital fan purchases help bands create a balance in this situation. what do you think about it? MBA: it is a good way to encourage bands not to fall down and it is a good way to show them that they are always there, even if there is no concert. CR: Many bands around the world see Myrath as an influence, and their message is
What is your point of view of this generational change where many bands mention you. MBA: This is something we were not expecting, we are very honored by that and we hope that in the future many bands will do hot metal. CR: 2019 was a very productive year for the band and you guys released two live videos: Sweden Rock (I had the opportunity to watch the DVD and an hour was enough to captivate us all) and Live in Carthage.
