Nos referimos en esta oportunidad a KING CRIMSON, una banda que se forma en Londres en 1969 de la mano de su fundador Robert Fripp quien ha sido testigo su nacimiento, separación, reunión y mutación que durante 50 años ha brindado al mundo albums que son considerados de culto, y que a través de su música ha sabido unir a varias generaciones, haciendo de cada concierto una fiesta única y especial.
Conversamos en esta oportunidad con su Bajista, Tony Levin, quien nos comparte importantes noticias que la banda prepara en 2019, una de ellas y las más importante es la celebración de su 50 aniversario como banda, y que King Crimson busca hacer comunión con sus fans en varios continentes con una gira mundial haciendo de cada una de esas fechas una experiencia única en la vida. De igual manera la banda anuncia el lanzamiento de dos boxsets especiales que contendrán su discografía básica que comprende de 1972-1974, y Heaven and Earth 1997-2018, rarezas, un libro biográfico, y un documental que refleja la historia de King Crimson desde sus orígenes hasta la actualidad, y estaría saliendo a finales de 2019.
Actualmente la banda esta conformada por Robert Fripp, Mel Collins, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jakko Jakszyk, Bill Rieflin, Jeremy Stacey y Theo Travis, quien cubrira el puesto de Rielfin quien no estará presente para esta gira especial de aniversario.
